Pet Nanny – In-Cabin Transport Service

Most U.S. airlines no longer allow puppies to travel as checked baggage, but many still permit in-cabin transport when accompanied by a passenger. This is our preferred method for transporting Windwhirl Border Collie puppies, as it is the quickest, safest, and most comfortable way for them to travel across the country.

Our puppies fly as passengers in the cabin, carried in a specially designed soft-sided mesh carrier. We work with trusted and reliable pet transporters who take great care in ensuring the well-being, comfort, and safety of every puppy during the flight. This service is slightly higher than standard ground or air shipping, but it is by far the most convenient and recommended option. Costs generally start around $600, depending on the airline, transporter, and in-cabin fees. We coordinate with several reputable transport services to secure the best rates and quickest delivery to your home.

Ground Transport

For those who prefer ground transport, specialized carriers are available year-round to safely deliver your Border Collie puppy to your home. These companies are experienced professionals who regularly work with breeders and have excellent reputations for reliability and care. Puppies are fed, watered, and walked during the journey, and their comfort and safety are always prioritized.

While ground transport is an option, we strongly recommend in-cabin air transport, as it significantly shortens travel time and reduces stress for the puppy. Costs for ground transport generally start around $500, depending on the carrier, destination, crate, and veterinarian travel certificate requirements.

Health & Safety

All Windwhirl Border Collie puppies receive a full veterinary health check prior to travel and are provided with a travel health certificate if required. We will never transport a puppy—by air or ground—if there is any risk to their health or safety.

Rest assured, when your puppy leaves our home for yours, every precaution is taken to ensure they arrive healthy, happy, and safe, ready to join their new family.
